Each coin comes in beautiful Gem Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition, which means that your 2019 Platinum American Eagle is the product of an excellent strike that places it firmly among the elite of the run. this is often an interesting grade once you take into account the Mint doesn’t incorporate any special handling with its bullion coins, being more involved with requirements for weight and size instead of quality.
Struck in a full troy ounce of 99.95% pure platinum, these $100 legal-tender bullion coins feature the unmistakable talents of John Mercanti, the U.S. Mint’s 12th Chief Engraver and the designer of more coins in American history than any other person. His stunning close-up of the Statue of Liberty’s stoic face on the coin’s obverse is perfectly balanced by sculptor-engraver Thomas D. Rogers reverse design of an eagle soaring high against the background of a sun rising over America.
Contains 1 oz of .9995 fine Platinum.
Eligible for Precious Metals IRAs.
Obverse: The strong face of the statue below the word “Liberty,” with the year and “In God We Trust” to the side. “E Pluribus Unum” is engraved along Liberty’s raised arm.
Reverse: An American eagle with outstretched wings soaring in front of a sunrise with “United States of America” above. The weight, purity and $100 face value are also shown.
