Very Fine Circulated.
Lewis Feuchtwanger produced a metal that was really a variety of German silver consisting of nickel, copper, and some zinc. He suggested to Congress as early as 1837 that this metal be substituted for copper. Making one cent and three cent trial pieces, This coin circulated throughout the United States, due to the coin shortage at that time.  The Feuchtwanger was utilized for purchasing and carried with it the power of “One Cents”. 
This coin was never utilized and a authorized usage by the U.S. Mint, being produced or manufactured by a private mint.
How-ever this coin is still highly collected to this day.
